Overview
About Me
I am a Software Development Engineer for a big tech company in Seattle! I graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Computer Science, so moving up to Seattle was a challenge to adapt to the cold haha.
In college, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Japan and it was an amazing experience. I now know enough Japanese to get me in trouble lol
In my spare time I cook, play video games, and play the Viola in a community orchestra.
I really enjoy camping, although I haven't really found the time to do it recently because of work. But right now I'm trying to master my outdoor charcoal grilling technique.
I love to eat and drink. I feel like one of the best ways to understand a culture and it's people is through the food and cuisine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to connect to the people of the places I'm travelling to!
Interests
I love coffee and I'm always on the look out for new coffee roasters in town. Right now I'm brewing my beans with a Hario V60!
I play the Viola in a community driven orchestra with 30+ members, all of whom were just employees who wanted to play music together. We hold rehearsals and play a concert every season. Last concert we played Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Franz von Suppé's Poet and Peasant Overture, and Georges Bizet, Selections from L'Arlesienne Suites No. 1 & 2.
Right now I'm getting to grips with my charcoal grill and I'm using special extruded Thai Rambutan charcoal. It's been a tasty challenge thus far 😋
I enjoy going out to eat and try new restaurants. I am a big fan of Chefs Rene Redzepi and David Chang. One of my heroes was the late chef, food writer, and host Anthony Bourdain and he has inspired me so much.
