ABOUT ME

My name is Elton and I am 21 years-old. Currently I am living in Columbia, SC. On August 2014, I came to the US to study at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. This summer I am doing a research at the University of South Carolina. I am easy-going, relaxed and really looking forward to meeting new people.

This is a quote by my favorite writer, Sidney Sheldon, and it pretty much sums up my beliefs.

I am here mostly because I love to be in touch with different people and get to know different cultures, stories and ideas.

Intereses

I love learning. (Recently I was studying Morse code and memorizing the Korean alphabet, Hangul). I need to be constantly learning different things!
I am pretty obsessed with books and TV shows. If we have shared interests in books/TV shows we are going to talk for uninterrupted hours!
Old bookstores make me the happiest human being on earth!
I love languages as well. In fact, I have a long list of languages (8 actually) I wanna be fluent in before I am 30. I have this weird obsession of wanting to talk to people in their native languages. I usually think of the amount of people that don't speak any language in common with me, but that we could be great friends!
I love getting out of my comfort zone! It is the thing that I try to do everyday.
I also love walking randomly around the city looking for bookstores or coffee shops.

I am crazy for anything by Sidney Sheldon, Khaled Hosseini, Carlos Ruiz Zafon. They are like my favorite writers ever.
I love drama movies. It is so hard to pick one but I would definitely go with "Rabbit Hole" or "Seeking a friend for the end of the world".
I utterly love Florence and the Machine, Lara Fabian, Marina and the Diamonds. Recently, I've been listening to a lot of singers from Israel and Korea.
