ABOUT ME

I am a student studying abroad at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. I am a huge believer in taking advantage of every opportunity life throws my way, which is why I am on this study abroad program and why I wanted to try couch surfing. I like to make plans but I know that life never turns out the way you planned so I try to be very flexible and adjust to whatever life throws my way! I am a market research major and the University of New Mexico. I am a big believer in helping the world anyway you can! I am a founding member of the UNM chapter of Invisible Children, an organization that helps the children effected by the civil war in Uganda. I hope to one day visit Uganda or South Africa and do some hands on work there. Much of my job and student activities center around event planning. I have coordinated events for Disney, the FBI, the American Marketing Association, Invisible Children, and more.

I think life is one big opportunity. I try to spend it learning from others and taking advantage of every experience I have.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just joined CS and am currently surfing as I travel around the UK and Europe. Although I have no way of hosting I would love me meet up with anyone who is visiting Norwich just to chat!

Interests

I love to ski (that is downhill skiing), swim, and play racquetball. I recently learned how to golf and bowl.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies of almost any genre and am always open to new film suggestions. My favorite band is the Beatles but I love all types of music. I LOVE to read! Historical fiction is probably my favorite type of book right now, but I am always open to suggestions!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to the Aztec ruins of Teotihuacan and the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. I have dog sled across a glacier and rock climbed in the mountains of Alaska. I have swam with dolphins of the coast of Mexico and hiked up Yosemite falls. Last semester I helped organize a book drive to collect books for a school my student organization is helping to build in Gulu, Uganda.
