About Me

CURRENT MISSION

experience the magical excitements that uh'mericah has on offer!

ABOUT ME

yes, hello.

i'm keen to stay with people who are a bit 'o fun, though no pressure to show me a 'super' good time. also pretty good walking around taking photos of coloured walls. i am slightly quirky, enjoy a laff, some random comedy/acting/dancing (last night people got naked on a stage parody of flight attendants - these things i enjoy occasionally, if you put it on my plate).

from country victoria in Australia, but have lived and studied in melbourne for the last 5 years. enjoy delicious coffee, good art, making art, reading good things, and scuba diving/banjo will be my new passion.

PHILOSOPHY

if you dont like doing something you dont have to do it. but you should do lots of things and make yourself happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

couchsurfing is brilliant! i love getting into peoples lives and enjoying some new people for a brief whirlwind of excitement and adventure! if i come and stay with you i will be 'unimposing' and cook le dinnah for you, wash dishes if the need calls for it, sleep, and enjoy life. we can even enjoy beers! yeehah!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

first time in SANDWICH! what a town. what an entry to the CS dream. and again in Montreal and Quebec! And then San Francisco, a fun co-op in Palo Alto, Santa Cruz (to meet some fun people before i found a house/started my life in santa cruz), all the way down the West Coast - Santa Barbara, LA a few times, San Diego.

AND THEN! up the pacific north west again - Vancouver fun couchsurfing times, WHISTLER, then back through van, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, NYC (! that's a tricky place to find a couch eh!), Long Island...

I am on a roll, big time. Let the future be my oyster!

Interests

travelling and exploring places with no tourists. e.g. syria.
having curious moments.
reading good things.
seeing wacky contemporary art.
trying to find a fun way to use my pending law degree.
irony and puns.
riding bikes when it is sunny.
going to islands.

Music, Movies, and Books

best movies of all time [dont judge]: parent trap, groundhog day, i'll be home for christmas, and boytown (an australian non-cult classic. check it)music - fun new american/canadian indie bands, good local melbourne folkie indie bands. not nickleback.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i have travelled heaps! smashed out some middle east over the summer of 2011, have done a few south east asia trips (cambodia, viet, laos, thailand), studied in Japan and Israel, have roadtripped around australia, down the west coast of america... what else.

I planted a garden in Melbourne, and found small bones that we thought were a baby but were really a cat called sophie.
