Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoin and delight others with my company - well apparently. I am willing to be involved and help others in the community as the need arises.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the Couchsurfing world but have had a lot of experience with travelling around Europe and the hostel environment. I have also travelled to to the homes of friends and contacts around Australia, the UK and the Czech Republic.

Music: Progressive Rock, 60's, Classical, World music.

Favorite TV Shows:
Science Fiction shows - Star Trek, Stargate, Lost, Babylon 5, Firefly and Battlestar Galactica.
Comedy, mostly British comedy - Red Dwarf, Black Books, Monty Python, Blackadder, the IT Crowd.
Australian comedy - Full Frontal, the Chaser's War on Everything, CNNN, Shaun Micallef.
American shows - Futurama, Scrubs, Seinfield and the Simpsons most notably...

Favorite Movies:
A wide variety of genres and flims interest me. Anything from the Lord of the Rings and Braveheart (despite the historical inaccuracies) to Amelie and Downfall are part of my palette. Then there are films like The Matrix, Equilibrium, Batman Begins and X-men. Yes I do love my Sci-Fi.

Favorite Books:
The Fantasy, Science Fiction and Historical genres tend to be my favourite. The Lord of the Rings, Magician, The Empire trilogy, Dune and the Foundation series have particularly stood out for me. There are of course many more books and numerous authors to mention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the Earth and the stars and am often amazed at having the gift of consciousness and awareness of them.

I can share insights, ideas and arguments from a range of fields in the Humanities. I am also an experienced teacher of History, Religious Studies and Philosophy.
