About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people to chill & hang with. Save the world ... that kind of stuff you know

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Meru, Kenya. Moved to the US for college in Los Angeles after which I lived in San Francisco for 8 years before moving to Shanghai two and a half years ago.

PHILOSOPHY

Do good, be good. Don't be a jerk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to start letting people surf my couch so I can show them some of the more awesome things that my city has to offer. Been doing Travbuddy and Airbnb for a while now. Had a really good time with some locals I met in Barcelona from Travbuddy who convinced me to start offering my couch to couchsurfers when I am in town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted two people so far and gone drinking with about 5 different groups of people around Shanghai

Interests

I like traveling, A LOT. I like hanging out not doing much, eating, drinking and partying. I am a lazy traveller.

I will usually do two or three touristy things and spend the rest of the time in bars or beaches or parks hanging out doing nothing meeting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty much a sucker for all types of movies. As for music, I like music that I can dance to (in a rhythmic manner) ... if that makes sense but I am one of those people who literally listens to everything. I have Britney Spears, Metallica, Daddy Yankee, Dead Prez, A-Ha, Alanis Morrisette, etc etc ... all on my iPod to give you a sense of the diversity

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure what is amazing - but I have hit some of the biggest parties in the world. Carnivals in Brazil, Bahia and Trinidad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like meeting people who have been self employed at some point in their lives. I like learning lessons of failure from them.

I also like meeting people who travel much to get tips from them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good times, awesome Shanghai dive bar experience and an nice and very drunken time in general around Shanghai ... I guess the little secret about me liking the party is out.

Countries I’ve Visited
