About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Know more happy people than anyone else in the world!

ABOUT ME

I love sports, specialy swimming, water polo and running. I did my masters of architecture in USC, at Los Angeles. I love kids, so I switched carriers from Architecture to 1st grade bilingual teacher in Dallas, and Architecture teacher in Richardson as of today. I consider myself part of nature, so is not just that I like it, it is in me! For year I thought "if i have a daughter i will name her alegria (joy in Spanish)! UPDATE! I had a daughter and my wife didn't let me put Alegria as a name, scared they will call her alegra, like the medicine. Now we have 2 beautiful and healthy girls thank God: Sofía (the 1st) and Yolanda (the lil' one)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with 3 women in a town home in Garland TX, not PR anymore... The 3 women are my wife and 2 babies, so I can't host at the moment :/ But once I get a better pay and buy a better home I'll host again! That or once my girls grow up enough to convince my wife to allow someone to stay...

Interests

My wife and I love riding our mountain and road bikes around the Dallas area. I used to swim, so every now and then I go to a gym to swim too. I've run since I was 5, so I love to jug or crash a 5k and eat the fruits and nice bars at the end of races ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Jazz, especially tropical jazz! Enjoy classical music, especially when working. But my favorite kind of music is salsa!!! I grew up listening and dancing to it, so my wife and I can share our love for it when we visit you...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I flew in 2008 from Helsinki to Madrid, waking up at 5am and finding a train and a bus to the airport, leaving at 7am, stopping 10hrs. in Copenhagen and visiting around, getting to Madrid at 10pm and making it at 11pm to the bus station to Seville, hopping out of it at 5am on a Good Friday to walk the streets and meet religious processions, one after another, meeting friends I haven't seen in 4 years , walking around until my body died at 9pm, after 5 major processions!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ideas and experiences from traveling, living and loving, some salsa joyful moves, how to swim, how to take pictures or record a video while riding a bike and eating a cliff bar, and how to make piña colada. I can also share my faith if the host is open and respectful, as well as I love learning from other believes!
