About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get to our wedding with minimal drama

ABOUT ME

We met in university and I introduced Bryan to his love of travelling, now we keep exploring at every chance!

Umm.. fun facts about me, I am very accident prone, and was once kicked out of Mexico.

Fun facts about Bryan, I was once psuedo kidnapped by an American while hitch hiking, and can do things on Excel that would make you blush.

PHILOSOPHY

I talk to anyone who will talk back, or who likes to listen. Everyone has a story, if you take the time to find it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Kind of started it before I joined, staying with friends and family when I travel (nothing worse than feeling like a total tourist)! Heard the idea through someone at the same hostel as me, and decided to check it out, quite glad I did as I have met a lot of awesome people and been hosted throughout most of Europe now!

Bryan got his first taste of Couchsurfing in Granada, and we had a great time!

Unfortunately we can't host at this time, but I am hoping soon :)

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as music goes, we will listen to anything... as long as its not country!! Comedies, action films, or anything historic (Bryan may have been a history major at one point) and I absolutely love anything written by Chuck Palahniuk (although Survivor is my personal favourite of his). Great Gatsby also a classic, and Kite Runner is a good read even though I really find the protagonist unsympathetic throughout most of the book!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a month a few summers ago (2008) working at a shelter for homeless children in the Philippines with some friends from my university. We brought several donated laptops and taught the kids how to type, as well as tutoring them in their school lessons. On weekends we would take them to the beach, or have birthday parties and bring out all the kids from the community, it was absolutely amazing being able to make a positive contribution to these fantastic kids lives!!

If your interested at all in more information about what we've done or are doing in the future you can check out www.streetlightcanada.ca

Free hugs and a picnic in front of Croatia's national theatre.

CSing my way across Europe!

There are others here and there, its best just have a chat and see what comes up!

Teach, Learn, Share

The best way to get a stain out of a machine-washable item of clothing? Hairspray. Spray the stain, throw it in the wash. Takes out just about everything, including red wine!

How to skate/snowboard.

How to juggle.

How to make the best Kraft Dinner EVER.

I'll learn anything interesting, so show me your A-game!

I will share my house, friends, and favourite YouTube clips with you.
