Hello world I'm Elysia :)
I'm a 22-year-old normal girl with the big dream of traveling all over each corner of the world. I love discovering new things, meeting new friends and enjoy diverse cultures. I love languages and that's also why I'm majoring in Spanish right now. Yet I believe smile is the best language throughout the world:)

I am an outgoing and easygoing person. I like animals, dogs especially and all kinds of food. I love outdoor activities and explore the beauty of the landscape. I love to learn about the history of places and stories of every individual. That is what makes the world some colorful and everyone so unique.

I love traveling and also sharing my stories. I believe looking back to your beautiful memories while traveling gives you energy to tackle the challenges you are facing right now! That's why I record my travel experience with youtube video and Blog, not only for sharing but also for my own memories!

Hola todo el mundo, soy Elysia de Taiwan (ciudad Taipei). Tengo 22 años y soy una chica con un gran sueño de viajar por cada rincón del mundo. Tengo muchas ganas de conocer nuevas cosas, nuevos amigos y también las culturas diversas. Me gusta aprender idiomas diferentes para que me entienda mejor la cultura local y la vida cotidiana cuando estoy viajando a un país extranjero, y eso es porque decidí a estudiar la lengua español en la uni. Sin embargo, me parece que la sonrisa es la mejor lengua común por el mundo :)

Soy abierta y me lleva bien con cada persona. Me gusta los animales (especialmente los perritos) y probar todo tipo de comida. Me encantan las actividades al aire libre y la naturaleza. Al mismo tiempo, me encantan también a aprender de la historia de la cultura.

Siempre recuerdo mi viaje con fotos y artículos para que no solo compartir con todo el mundo sino también me trae buena memoria cuando me estoy enfrentando a los desafíos. Así que ahora estoy escribiendo mi Blog (pero todo en chino mandarín...) : http://elysiaporelmundo.weebly.com/

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I believe taking home stay with new friends is the fastest and best way to understand a new culture. Years ago when i was studying abroad in Florida. I stayed with a local family and really got fit in the life there and had a really great time so i think it's my honor if i can also have the chance to show those visitors around in Taiwan.
Lonely Planet might tell you where you can find a 5 stars restaurant yet the locals know the best cuisine they have had since they were young. They know the most tranquil place for the best sunset of the city rather than those well-known tourist spots. And that is why they can show me the best of his/her home country.

我始終相信，和當地人同住或出遊絕對是認識新文化或一個地方最棒也最快的方法！幾年前當我到美國佛羅里達學習英文時，我與當地家人同住，除了語言進步快之外，我也迅速融入當地人的生活，若有機會我也希望能夠帶外國人更加認識台灣。Lonely Planet可能可以準確地告訴我們哪裡有五星級餐廳，但當地人才會知道哪裡有最棒的兒時懷念滋味。相較於知名度高的觀光景點，當地人能夠帶你去無人靜謐的秘密基地享受整座城市最棒的夕陽！他們最能夠展現出家鄉最棒最美的一面。

Siempre creo que es la forma más rápida y mejor vivir y salir con una persona local. Cuando estaba estudiando inglés en Florida, EEUU, viví con una familia local y a un lado, mejoré mi inglés muy muy rápido, y a otro lado, conocí la real vida de su familia. Si tendré la oportunidad a recibir un amigo extranjero en mi casa, estaré feliz y presentarle la belleza de Taipei y Taiwán.
Se puede encontrar todo la información de los restaurantes en 5 estrellas en el libro Lonely Planet, pero lo que no existe en el libro es el tesoro de los locales. Saben en dónde se puede buscar la comida más exquisita en su infancia. También te pueden llevar a la mejor vista de la puesta del sol en donde no hay nadie para que pueda disfrutar de la tranquilidad , y eso es la mejor forma de presentar su patria.

I enjoy doing sports(mostly running), watching films, and listening to music. I LOVE nature and ocean as well.
I also love learning languages. Now I can speak Spanish in an intermediate level and trying to improve it every day.

Me gustan hacer deportes (correr), ver películas, escuchar la música. También soy una amante de la naturaleza y el mar.
Me encanta aprender los idiomas extranjeros. Ahora hablo español en un nivel intermedio y sigo mejorando.
