Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in the run-down hillside towns that overlook the white picket fences of Central Pennsylvania. I learned to accept my flaws and strengths in the shadows of abandoned industrial complexes of Eastern Pennsylvania, among youth whose existence was validated by their affiliations with bigger cities. My heart drew me briefly to the shoreline of Connecticut where I learned that love is alive and perfectly within reach. No sooner had my eyes and heart opened than adventure knocked at my door. New Mexico needed a teacher and I needed a soul-awakening experience. Ever in search of growth and opportunity, I have been called to Denver, CO where I am currently a Triage Specialist for a suicide hotline.
To those seeking a host: I apologize, but I do not have a home at the moment.
Here we go!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Beyond the economic advantage of free housing, is the beauty of souls mutually sharing their space and asking nothing in return. CouchSurfing has given me the opportunity to practice trust and love toward all humans. I try to give more than take, but there is something uniquely humbling about receiving the gift of home.
Interests
In the time when I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, biking, running, playing guitar, drinking craft beers and talking to friends, new and old.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy most music, especially music made by people like me and my friends. If you meet me at a concert, expect to mosh.
Confession: I sleep through movies. But, I still love to critique and discuss film. I'd have a minor in film if it weren't for my narcolepsy.
I am an English major. American Realism gets me nerdy. High Sci Fi and Fantasy spark my imagination. Margaret Atwood satiates both brains.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I could tell you stories of mountain tops and volunteerism. But nothing would be as geniune in this box as it would be in person. So, in this context, my proudest accomplishment is my successful cooking of one of my Great Grandmother's traditional German recipes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't know what I'm supposed to write here. I suppose, if you wanted to know how to properly diagram a sentence or needed to understand the subjunctive mood, I could help you with that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Anyone who hosts me will find that I am a minimal impact guest, in that I require little. My favorite things to do for hosts are: bring/go out for beer, debate the human condition and solve our postmodern dilemmas, and leave the space I am given tidier than I found it.
