Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be a living human being.
ABOUT ME
I like music, words, people, wood, glass, metal, languages, food, community, stories, living things. I read a lot about health and work out how to both be a modern human and connect with the natural world.
I currently work as a labor and delivery nurse. I work three 12-hour shifts per week, and I work both days and nights, so my schedule is a bit unusual.
PHILOSOPHY
Eat well, travel often.
Act without expectation.
Collect moments, not things.
Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly.
"Only connect! That was the whole of her sermon. Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height. Live in fragments no longer. Only connect, and the beast and the monk, robbed of the isolation that is life to either, will die." - E.M. Forster in his book Howard's End
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host. I surf. I connect people with other folks in Pittsburgh.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted once and surfed with two different sets of folks in Canada; all of it was an entirely positive experience!
Interests
Read, talk with friends, go on walks with my dog, learn new things, make food, have good adventures, be outside, lay in the sun.
I'm one of those unfortunately gluten intolerant folks, and my gentleman is a vegetarian, so we get culinarily creative and explore all kinds of delicious foods that we can both eat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One perfect 10 hour layover in Frankfurt. We had beer, brauts, and pretzels and then we napped in the sun along the river while two guys lightly played guitar in the background. Magic.
Also, every time I see a baby born. I swear. It's insane.
