From 2010-2014 I made a 4-year bicycle journey through Europe, Asia and Africa (www.cwexplore.com) which was 70,000km. I have written two books about this journey.

In 2017 I skied, kayaked and cycled the 8,000km length of the boundary between Europe and Asia. The journey started on the Arctic coast of Russia mid-winter and ended on the Bosporus in Istanbul. In 2019 I hiked and rafted across Papua New Guiena.

I enjoy most things. Books, films, people, travel, cooking, music, sports etc

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I have been registered on this website for a while, I haven't used it so often but have slept on a variety of couches in my time. The most memorable night was probably the one when I shared a couch with a Tibetan family. It was -40˚C outside and I had been alone and lost in a snowstorm when I found their remote home.
