About Me

Please read the "MY HOME" section (see link above; or on the mobile version where it says "Read More") before making a couch request. Thank you!

My fiance and I are both native Seattle-ites. We have a little dog that loves to snuggle. My personality is usually pretty laid-back. I really like to laugh and joke around. I am allergic to nuts and peppers (bell and hot), but love pizza! I don't smoke (please no smokers-I am allergic). I don't do any drugs. I don't drink (not even coffee), but I am not put off by it. If you have any questions or want to know anything - I am a very open person so JUST ASK!!

I spent the summer of 2008 traveling alone; going all over Europe. I had never been overseas and I had a wonderful time with great hosts. I was the recipient of the Karen Snyder Sullivan Memorial Travel Award (http://www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/dos/12736.shtml) so I was given this amazing opportunity for which I am so grateful, which is why I enjoy hosting women on their travels. My trip hit all of the following countries:
Ireland, Scotland, England, Iceland, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Italy, and Portugal.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is full of ugly things that you can't change. Pretend it's not that way, that's my idea of faith. You can blow it off and say, "there's good in nearly everyone. Just give them all a chance."

-"Alice Childress" by Ben Folds

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, hosting, either!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in the United States and Internationally. I also love hosting and showing people around Seattle! I love being able to connect with people and learn about their daily lives. I love the project, the travel, the education, and most importantly, the people. I hope to create a positive and inclusive community through CS chat, meet ups, and couchsurfing itself. Thank you for being a part of the project and for participating in this incredible idea!
