About Me
**DON'T FRIEND ME IF YOU DON'T KNOW ME. DON'T MESSAGE ME UNLESS YOU NEED HOSTING OR ADVICE ABOUT THE AREA I HOST IN.**
(Note: I'm NOT looking to talk to random strangers online. I AM HERE to make plans to host or be hosted by actual surfers. Thanks.)
With that out of the way:
I love adventures, sharing stories, learning (especially about new places), art, alternative visions for society, freedom, resisting oppression, work, and fascism, and all forms of human expression.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing saved me when I was in a very uncomfortable au pair situation - like, it is primarily responsibly for connecting with people who were so generous and wonderful that I was able to get out of there and live an invigorating year independently in Spain at a pretty young age.
I feel so lucky to have been part of couchsurfing in this beautiful span of time before airbnb and other "sharing economy" ruses. Global, networked communities where stranger empathy is the norm and shelter is freely given are the future; all this corporate internet bull is just a hiccup :)
