We are a young couple in our last year of university living in Toronto. Emanuel (or Manny) is a small town Maritimer from Edmundston, NB and Samantha (or Sam) is a Toronto born city girl. We both enjoy sports, outdoor activities such as running (mostly Sam) cycling and hiking but we also enjoy winding down with a book, watching Netflix, bullet journaling (Sam) or painting (Manny). We are proud parents of two dwarf bunnies, Suki and Snow, however they will be bunny-sat at home while their parents are out exploring the world. Manny is fluent in Spanish, French and English. Sam is fluent in English, proficient in French and learning ASL. Though we are constantly bogged down by the joys of student life, we still jump at every opportunity to enjoy life whether that's by taking mini vacations, meeting new people or trying something different.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Manny has never Couchsurfed before however Sam has Couchsurfed a few times and not only does she find it a good way to save money on accomodations but it's also a great way to make new friends and get to know the city from a local's perspective. One day we hope to open our home to fellow Couchsurfers so they can get to know Toronto too!

Music, Movies, and Books

We are both pretty laid back when it comes to music interests, we'll listen to anything! We are definitely Marvel fans although Manny really likes the Batman movies too. Sam is more of a Disney and Pixar sorta gal; she can't resist the catchy songs! As for books, it's been a while since we've gotten to read for pleasure since most of our reading time is spent over textbooks and litterature for classes. Please let us know your top 5 titles!

Teach, Learn, Share

Since we are students living away from home, we love learning new recipes and trying new foods. We're still trying to get a hang of mastering efficiency in the kitchen but we'd love to help out with preparing meals if you've got them time during our stay.
