ABOUT ME

I'm a polite, open-minded and adventurous young man from Vienna, Austria. Tradition is an important issue to me, so as you know, Vienna is famous for its classical musicians and the rich and lively cultural life. I enjoy attending classical concerts, theaters, operas and alike, but also just to stroll around in Vienna's hundreds-of-years-old streets to enjoy the famous coffee-culture it offers.
I have always been into sports, music, and good food (might have taken that one up from my parents:) .. I enjoy working out, going for a run, skiing or whatever keeps me moving
Dancing, playing music, composing music or jamming with friends are all my passions.
Whenever I do something, I strive to give my best and seize the moment. In life you constantly have to improve your own personality, thats what I believe. Use everyday as an opportunity to learn...

I have been successful as a sportsman, playing volleyball professionally, and in academics, foremost in languages and Music.

I like to think of the consequences my actions have, try to choose words wisely (cause what else to we have to communicate..?), include my surroundings, give the best I have to the people surrounding me. Share my passions. Thats whats it's about! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that whatever you have to give to the world, you should do it and constantly strive to achieve your own goals. Never give up dreaming, in a sense that your dreams come true if you work hard enough. Each one of us is blessed with a certain gift - to find out about what that is and to perfect this skill is our task.
At the same time we should see that we humans are not immortal - there is a spirituality in all things that surround us - for me, especially in music. Music can lift you up, tear you down, bring you to tears, make you shiver and give you a sense of what the devine could be like.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the community and excited about what the community can do (ask not what the community can do for you, but what you can do for the community, just popped up in my head.. haha)
I have been recommended couchsurfing by a lot of friends who said it's a nice and easy way to travel and at the same time meet new people who (and that's what's most appealing to me) show you their own, in-depth connection to their country or city. I have become fed up with touristy approaches, hence I found CS might be a much better possibility of exploring!

Music: all different styles. Gustav Mahler, Franz Schubert, Ludwig v. Beethoven - they are all my heroes. Popular Music: Tallest man on earth, Ben Howard, Bon Iver, Coldplay, Antony and the Johnsons, Kanye West, Damien Rice, etc etc..
