Overview
About Me
People generally describe me as a calm and collected person. Hope they are right.
CURRENT MISSION
Visiting Japan for a month, wishing to give proper attention to all destinations that'll be explored and all the people who will be encountered. Looking forward to experience all the new, good, bad, exciting, intriguing, weird, beautiful, calming and perplexing things that there are to go through in Japan.
Japan has been a major source of interest for me during the past 15 years, and visiting it has been a life-long dream.
ABOUT ME
28, MSc graduate in biology. Taking a break from a long period in university, before starting my PhD in biochemistry at the Weizmann Institute. Have served 3 and half years at the IDF from ages 18-21.
It is kinda of hard to describe myself, but I guess I could say that I am an easy-going person; always looking forward for my next new, exciting encounter with diverse people from different cultures. I am completely secular (wouldn't call myself an Atheist) and support liberal thinking and ideas. I am devoted to logic, and try to pursue it in my day-to-day life.
PHILOSOPHY
In the literary sense, I could say that I am a realist, a naturalist and a liberal... But in the sense CS means it, I mainly support the idea of being nice to people (hopefully they'll be nice to me in return).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, at the moment I only got the chance to surf (oh, and what a great pleasure that has been - thank you all my American hosts!!!) and not host, since I live in a tiny student apartment which doesn't allow me to host... Hopefully that'll change when I move to my next location.
Happy to do any chores or just general help around. Handy if needed =)
Good conversation partner (or so I think haha). Can cook. Trying to have a good time wherever I go.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have surfed quite a bit in North America when I did a road trip there in the summer of 2014. Was an absolute joy! I really do believe that CS is the way to travel the world if you really want to get to know a place and its people.
Interests
Reading (unfortunately, university has significantly reduced the amounts of books I read) - big fan of hardcore sci-fi. Travelling, film (so much so that film-school has been my dream, yet eventually turned to science). Used to play tennis for many years. Practiced Aikido for a while. In the past years, I have developed a great passion for Anime, although I am no expert by any means (should mention that Cowboy Bebop is, in my view, probably one of the most impressive pieces of art that has been put to animation!). Science, Philosophy, football, horology, comedy and more. Ans obviously I value sharing time with my friends and family. And food, oh how I love food (well, who doesn't?).

Hope we'll get a chance to discuss those.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Served in the Army for 3.5 years... don't know if that counts as something amazing, but it sure was a unique and challenging experience - full of positives and negatives.
I also stayed on a Zen meditation farm in California for almost several months - that was one life changing experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I guess I can share... me. If you're up for some talking, I'll probably suit you. I think I can also give some insight to this phenomenon that is called Israel - its highs and its lows.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
