It's difficult to describe a person in a few lines trying to choose the right words, but I will try. Probably I can start saying that I'm curious, I always enjoy having new experiences and meet people, feel and make them feel comfortable. I'm quite an adaptive person (I could sleep literally everywhere haha).

I'm currently studying for the Master's Degree in Theoretical Physics at Sapienza University of Rome and from September I'm going to live in Paris for 10 months as an Erasmus student at Sorbonne University.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couchsurfing through friends' opinions and for the first time I have stayed in Rotterdam thanks to Couchsurfing this summer. I think it's a fantastic way to explore the world meeting new people and cultures, sharing experiences with them

Interests

I love nature and immersive experiences into it, I could lose myself staring at a good landscape literally for hours. I'm really interested in science and mathematics since I was a kid and sometimes I watch and photograph the sky with a telescope. I really enjoy going dancing to electronic music, listening to live jazz music or simply have a couple of beers and talk about life, experiences, science or whatever.
I regularly practice sport climbing, I often go riding a mountain bike and I have been snowboarding a few times.

Music, Movies, and Books

Usually I listen to different kinds of music.
My Spotify random play right now gives Beatles, Daft Punk, Fabrizio De André, Gorillaz, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Eminem, Black Sabbath, Paul Kalkbrenner, Linkin Park...
I have been to Eminem, David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) concerts but also to many techno/electronic music festivals and events and I have had an annual subscription for classical music concerts.

As regards books and movies, in general I could say that I prefer well-structured and introspective characters over elaborate plots. The last three books I've read are Kafka's Metamorphosis, Agatha Christie's The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Dostoevskij's White Nights.

My favourite actors are Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Anthony Hopkins and probably that's the reason why I would say my favourite movies are The Shining, Shutter Island and The Silence of the Lambs, but it's difficult to not quote Tarantino and Coen Brothers movies like Reservoir Dogs or No Country for Old Men.

I have been on a boat near the Polar Circle wearing a super-heavy jacket to see whales and I have been hiking on a glacier (which was the set of Interstellar and some of Game of Thrones episodes, by the way).
Oh and I have been to Monegros desert for an electronic music festival lasted 2 days.
