Hola! We are Manu and Ilona, Italian + Dutch couple on a quest that took us from Rio de Janeiro in January to Miami in June through Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Perú, Cuba, Bahamas and Miami as final stop.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because a friend I met on this trip told me about it and I think it’s a great way to meet local people who always know what’s best. Thanks to another friend we got to know “workaway” and subsequently we spent a month working and living in a farm with a family in Mendoza, Argentina which was one of the biggest highlights of the whole South American trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have done many amazing things, you name it. We spent the last 5 years working in the hotel business around New Zealand, Australia and London..probably the most amazing thing I have done is Skydiving from 15.000 feet in Queenstown Nz.
