When I was 19 years old I packed my backpack and flew to the Australia on my own. At the time my command of English was quite poor and I had no plans whatsoever for my journey through the country: well, for several months I lived on the road (hitch-hiking, seeking for hospitality from random people, walking huge distances between towns...) and that was the most important experience in my whole life. I really learned something valuable about myself and my life hasn't been the same ever since!
