About Me

CURRENT MISSION

acquiring experience as a host :-)

ABOUT ME

When I was about sixteen, after meeting me for the first time, somebody described my head as a bowl full of questionmarks. Believe it or not, part of me still feels proud about that ;-)
I guess I do have an enquiring mind, I find it hard to resist curiosity, and I'm excited at the idea that there might be something new and interesting in the conversation we are about to have...
Another part of me generally believes that I'm right when I answer those questionmarks for myself. Not too proud about THAT.
Anyways, I love to experience meeting new people and trying to understand their perspective on things, and hopefully, learn from them and bring them something too!
I feel bored and boxed-in in too much routine.
I always hope meeting someone new is gonna break the routine - we're all potentially different, right?
So, buyer beware: If you meet me, be prepared to face some questionmarks aimed your way ;-)!

I've been living in Brussels most of my life, organizing film shoots. Got to be routine, I feel like trying something new.
I moved to Budapest in August 2008 to live with my girlfriend Judit.
Three months of learning hungarian haven't produced a lot of results yet.
Getting in touch with the CS crowd in Budapest has produced results: I have met people whose company I enjoy very much, who bring to my life a quality of joy that I value very much.
In my book, discovering new humans beats discovering new places (especially when traveling happens not to be an option at the moment ;-O)

By the way: of course, I'm fair game to be "questionmarked" myself - no sense or fun without reciprocity, right? ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

Learn to give, learn to take, learn to change.
At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to extend my ability to integrate what I've learned and transform myself, use new paths I find interesting, abandon some old ones. I feel discontented at not doing better than struggling.
Ah! "Why do I live my life?"
hmmm... because the day might come yet, when I can answer that question.
Feelings and Thoughts? Too many of both (in terms of quantity)

Music, Movies, and Books

Documentaries. Especially the ones questioning the state of things. Frederick Wisemann.
Fiction: John Cassavetes, Ken Loach, Mike Leigh.
Fiction so well documented, that it can teach you something about human nature.
I love thrillers and detective books; they take me away from my thoughts.
I like classical stuff, music from the seventies and eighties.
The Motown vibe gets to me, so does Blues and some Jazz: those make me feel on a cloud, sometimes. Ultimate mood alterers (I don't drink, so...)
