About Me

Hello - Hola!
My name is Emanuelle D Rodríguez Muñiz, a fun fact my second name is just "D", it's a funny story of my dad, Daniel, trying to go against my mother's wishes, but that's a story for me to tell. I'm a Civil Engineer in the transportation field, yes I can be, sometimes, the reason why people sit about 160 seconds on a red light, haha.

I'm currently living in Downtown Orlando living the city life, get to use my car only on the weekends and bike my way to work every day, unless its raining or for some reason temperature drop to 30ish degrees. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, the little Island next to Republica Dominicana, which measures 100 x 35 miles (161 x 56 km). I speak Spanish, not the prettiest one, compared to other dialects, but I can defend myself, pronounce the "r", "s" and some other letter we tend to skip.

So, things about me, that I like to do, well I do not surf, giving the fact that I come from an Island - sorry guys - but I do love the beach! Real quick here's a list of things about me:

- Beach outdoor sports I'm on it, any beach related stuff I'm down
- I'm a cyclist, not competitive (yet), but I commute and ride every once in a while ( I have a Specialized Allez 2012)
- I'm not a gym junkie, I like to be healthy. I do CrossFit and eat good, sometimes I go to McDonald's
- As Puerto Rican, I like to dance... everything! And yes, I do know how to dance. Salsa, merengue, bachata, bomba, plena, square dance, hip-hop, breakdance (kinda), modern dance (if I have to)
- Pop a bottle of wine and we can talk about anything, history, politics, religion, world, science, black holes, universe, books
- I like to read, I have the mini library that I try to grow every month with a book. (currently reading three books 12.01.18)
- I'm a Mac guy, but I do windows because I'm an engineer so, yeah...
- I like movies and analyzing them, the why, how, what he wanted to portray, etc... Especially those old movies, where everything was very explicit and their message is so obvious. But it is intersting how movies evolved...

Anyways, there's a lot about me about me, but I'm not writing a book here, oh yeah actually I am writing one, but not here, its titled D'Letras. If we meet we can talk about it.

That's a little bit about me.

INFO:
- If need to know my couch is a sofabed so it's kind of a full bed.
- Have only one key to my apartment
- I work a lot during the week free on Friday after 12:00 PM and Weekends.
- Mi casa es tu casa (applied for friends, so let's become friends first).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in couch surfing for a very simple reason. Who doesn't want to travel the world and not meet people? Who wants to spend money on tours, or expensive hotel, not that they are bad, but engaging with people around the world seems like a really cool idea. And why not, I will like to be a host and hopefully, travel one day and meet people, meet their real culture, their life, make connections and have a wide range of friends.

I know I live in Orlando, but Puerto Rico is a place where I can show people around, I spend 23 years of my life in PR, so when I have my other house in PR, maybe that could be a second spot to be a host.
