About Me

I'm a life enthusiast, constantly trying to find creative outlets to my ideas. If I know I can make something happen by myself, I won't take no for an answer but I'll gladly accept help from a friend.

Music has played a big part of my life, taught me a lot of things, gave me a lot of values, made me a lot of friends, and ultimately grew me as a better person. So in 2010 I started a small DIY Record Label called Juicy Records, to give something back. Check it here: http://www.juicyrecs.com

PHILOSOPHY

DO IT YOURSELF. And also...

Happiness is not material, you can't buy it with money, you can't influence it power, you cant't make it with tools. It's a moment suspended in time that lasts for as long as you can feel it.

I don't believe in Karma, but I believe that if you do good things and give with no second intentions, life works itself out in a positive way.

"Countries are just lines, drawn in the sand with a stick."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I became active on CS in 2013/2014, while on a short sort-of-world-trip that I did for 6 months. I can honestly say the people I met and the moments we shared were some of the best of my travels.

After a few years back in London I decided to hit the road again and this time I am bringing my partner with me, so I want to show her what the spirit of CS is about and how kind and welcoming people can be all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: if I was to start listing names there wouldn't be enough space in here, so I'll just throw in randomly the main genres I listen to: Soul, Punk/Hardcore, Hip-Hop, Indie Rock, Jazz, Funk, Metal.

Movies: haven't worked out a list of favourites...but here's from the top of my head I can think of: Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, 12 Angry Men, Snatch, La Haine, Saving Private Ryan, Crash, Apocalypse Now, Collateral, The Godfather Trilogy, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Oldboy...and I'll stop for now. Oh, and I'm also very much into documentaries.

Books: Lord Of The Rings (+ The Hobbit) is still one of my favourites, but I haven't been reading that much in the last few years...recently finished Lord of the Flies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some things worth mentioning:
- Holding the first vinyl record put out by my label.
- The first time I did a road trip around Europe with my best friends on my car.
- Travelling from Leh to Pangong Lake with 4 Indian friends on top of a Royal Enfield.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a solid cook, so I can teach how to cook Portuguese classic dishes and some other international food (specially Italian).

I do graphic design, video editing, DJing, and I edit my own magazine...With the right amount of time I can teach the basics on all of this.

If you're into languages, Portuguese is my mother tongue.
