About Me
Hey Mates! I am Emanuel ,my friends and nearly everybody else calls me Manu. I am an student from the South-West of Germany. I am a very outgoing, communicative and curious person. At the same time i would consider myself as down to earth and open for everybody. I enjoy parties and raves as well as a down-coming evening at the campfire on a lake with the guitar or a night of laughs and talks in a Bar. So i would consider myself (against all Germany cliches ;-) ) as a funny guy as well as a guy to have serious, inspring conversations with. The reasons I travel is getting to know different places and cultures and their diversity as well as to have nice encounters with other travelers and just have a good time.
To realize my travels I worked as a pedagogue, language teacher and on a forklift in a logistic center during most of my summer holidays (the latter helped me realize most travels)
In the future I want the be a teacher of languages and politics to make the students understand the world they live in and to have the chance to really enter other places and exchange with people from all over the ONE WORLD we live in.
Looking forward to meet you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Although i live in a rather unknown rural areas with little tourists and visitors (most that come visit somebody living here) about 40 minutes from Heidelberg and Mannheim i wanted to give people the opportunity to stay in my place if needed to get to know the real life here. Also me and my friends always enjoy having somebody new over for some days to exchange and just have a good time. As not many couchsurfers are interested in my small town i only was visited by a couple there, and by a couchsurfer during my stay in Spain, where we had an extra bed some weeks.
I myself didnt stay at other peoples houses via the page until today and would be happy to make the experience soon.
This has several reasons:
1. Many places I went to in Europe i stayed at friends places or places of their friends (independant couchsurfing)..
2. I was travelling with, a number of people or groups of people that sadly didn't want to couchsurf or the group was just to big...
3. i've been to places where the couchsurfing net is not so big (morocco and bolivia)
3b. or i saw just a small chance to get something with a little developed profile in places everybody wants something (Rio, Edinburgh, Barcelona)
So now i want to use the amazing idea of couchsurfing for getting to know more places and people as i got some longer travels in mind. I am still working hard to realize my dream of seeing as much interesting places in the world as i can, so i wouldn't really need the saving money aspect. Also i really enjoy the atmosphere of a nice hostel, but of course it's nice this network provides people a chance of sleeping at other's places for free so the travel can be longer.
