About Me

Hey stranger :)

So what about me.... I'm a freelancer / part-timer specializing in business & marketing articles as well as Social Media management. That's as far as my professional profile, the boring part. I like what I do, especially when there is room to be creative. I love writing and a love a challenge, always looking to learn and evolve. Personally I mean, not only professionally.

Other than that, I love a good conversation and tend to gravitate towards more serious, philosophical topics about life, purpose, what we are here for....stuff like that. :) I like history, I love anything art and culture but I also enjoy spending time in the mountain or some remote , quiet village.

To me one of the greatest gifts is human interaction and the way people form and shape each other in terms of personality and ideas and of course shared experience. That's why my favourate part of travelling (and probably what's most attractive about it) is the chance to meet new people and exchange experience and ideas.

I'm open, friendly, curious about things, always looking for an answer to the Why's in life, always in search of something .Which could be tiring sometimes but that's how I enjoy this ride called life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As mentioned above, I believe that one of the most important things is life is the experience shared with people. I like meeting people from different walks of life, with different experience. I think that one can learn something from absolutely everyone.

I thoroughly enjoy the time I spent on the road. I've met some of the most interesting people in my life while travelling. And so for me a trip is not just about ticking off some tourist attractions in my list, it is about trying to get to know people who live in the place to really get a grip of the culture and atmoshpere in the place. I like to get together for a meal (whether as a host or as a guest) and share something delicious with whoever I'm with. Nothing better than a glass of nice wine with the food :)

As I'm almost always in motion and so I haven't had the chance to host that many people myself (cause I'm rarely in my home place) but the few times I did it was so enjoyable. I hope to be able to do that more often with time. It is an equally exciting experience.

Interests

I suppose there are two things mainly that get me truly excited - writing on topics I care about (I have my own blog page) and travelling. These are the two passions in my life. I like new experiences even if I am sometimes sceptical in the beginning. Most of all, I like meeting people and sharing thoughts and ideas. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

As most people I would listen to various types of music depending on my mood. I like me a little jazz, I love Esperanza Spalding. I like also more commercial stuff like Beyonce (I used to absolutely love her). I like chillout too, especially the VA Profect. Sometimes I'm in the mood for George Michael, Lenny Kravitz or Prince.
But I guess my current passion in music would be Lana Del Rey. The music in my life these days is greatly monopolized by her :)

I've been reading a lot of Dan Brown over the last few years. Generally I don't like criminal / whodunit books but in his you also find some fact-backed conspiracies and you can actually learn a few interesting things. I also like generally Paulo Coelho as he tends to be philosophical. Other than that, I like books on adventure, maybe my most favourate one of all time would be Shogun.

I like European cinema and mostly tend to go to low key, small cinemas rathen than the big shopping mall chains.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once moved to Mexico without having a job or a place to live. A lot of lessons learnt from that experience! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I will want to learn about your culture and traditions, about ytour ideas of life, your job, what excites you, what makes you happy...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to share my experience and ideas. As well as some delicious homemade Bulgarian and Japanese food (if there are ingredients of course) :)

I think I'm a good listener too.
