ABOUT ME

Laid-back and fun-loving. I like to keep the party going but always help clean up the next morning. I'm courteous and respectful to those around me but outgoing and warmhearted too. There's nothing much better than a cold beer and a slice of pizza, and I hope to share one with you sometime!

Of course I love meeting people and sharing ideas and stories but more than that I believe in the importance of building friendships with people from different cultures and immersing myself in new places! Hotels are so culturally sanitised. Real people with real homes are so much more exciting and inspiring than automatic check ins and staff in uniforms!

Local knowledge, someone to share stories and a drink with and new friends - what's not to love about couch surfing!?

Fashion, writing, cooking, chess and camping. I used to work in the chocolate and confectionery department in David Jones, Australia's oldest department store chain, and dream about owning my own chocolate store.

In my travels so far I've been tasting, cataloguing and reviewing as much chocolate as I can. Single origin chocolate is a huge passion of mine and I love sharing my stash and showing people the complexity of a 'simple' bar of chocolate!

I used to work in a department store where I learnt so a lot about hair, make up and skin care from my coworkers from the beauty department. I've also completed a personal styling course and will always give my honest opinion - working in retail I found this ended up making more sales and happier customers! My older sister always asks me to do her hair/make up/styling when she goes out and I really enjoy helping out!

I can play a good game of chess (at least I used to) and a better game of scrabble!

At 21 years old I still have a lot to see, learn and experience but I like to think I have a lot of stories and ideas to share. My travels in Sweden, The UK, Amsterdam and all over Australia have given me a sense of humility and too many good times to list!
