About Me
CURRENT MISSION
CS reminds me that there are great people in the world and we're all trying to figure this f'd up place one day and one person at a time.
ABOUT ME
I'm a university administrator working in international education and love traveling and meeting new, open-minded, people. I grew up in rural South Dakota and, after many moves and adventures, now call La Crosse, WI home.
PHILOSOPHY
To quote Mark Twain, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel so I joined CS out of curiosity. After meeting some fantastic people I hope to do more and look forward to hosting people who are making their way across the Midwest.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My CS experience has been with my partner, Brian, and we've loved meeting and spending time with people in their home. It's the best way to explore and learn about a new place from those who know it best.
We have a young daughter and enjoy introducing her to the wonderful CS community - both as a host and a surfer.
Interests
Traveling, live music, good food, running, reading, gardening, camping, breweries, the great outdoors. I'm only picky about the coffee and the beer I drink.
