My name is Emelie and I'm from Stockholm, Sweden.

I like photography and fashion, and just everything that's artsy and creative. I love being outdoors and can spend hours just walking around in the woods.

I'm very spontaneous and fun to be around(or at least I'd like to think so)!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I became I member during my travels, and have yet only surfed. I do however plan to host when I'm back home, I'd love to take people around my city just like I've been showed around at different places!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of the best couch surfing experiences I've had was a very unplanned one. I was cycling around Tasmania, and one day I was particularly tired and stopped after 35 km in a small town. I went into the service station and asked if there was a camping ground around where I could sleep, and the man working there told me that I could either sleep at the common ground or in his backyard. Not a hard choice, so I biked down to his house and got greeted by his daughter, who showed me around and told me that there was no need to put my tent up, they had a spare room. Two hours later I sat with this family, eating roast and mashed potatoes and talking about everything you could think of. It was awesome to be let in to their house and having them taking care of me like a family.

I bought a bike and cycled Tasmania for 16 days, lived off cold noodles and tuna and sleeping in my tent. It was awesome!

New Zealand is also pretty awesome. So beautiful!
