About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live, laugh, and eat in different places all around the world!

ABOUT ME

Hello,

My name is Emely and I am a Student at Florida State University. I am a very diverse person with various interests. I love reading, singing, dancing, playing sports...you name it.

PHILOSOPHY

I have many different philosophies but the main one I use is "you only live once." Along with that I tend to try to live my life in an honorable way and "treat others how you would like to be treated."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in Couchsurfing by meeting different people in the cities that I travel to and responding to all the couchsurfers that message me. I do not currently live somewhere I can host people, but I usually refer them to my brother who is a pretty active surfer in Orlando.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couchsurfing experience recently and I have to say it was awesome. I met some of the nicest most interesting people out there. We all got together and drove down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and had a blast.

Interests

I am interested in different cultures and languages. I am absolutely interested in learning from people with different perspectives. I truly enjoy spending time with my family and going to church. Like most couchsurfers I am extremely interested in traveling the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

I actually enjoy every kind of music, from R&B to Classical. I enjoy reading a lot of articles and newspapers; occasionally I have the great pleasure of sitting down to a read a good book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen some pretty amazing things in my life but one of the most beautiful places I have ever been was in Colombia in Santa Marta. After climbing a mountain for hours we finally got to a hidden beach that had horses on the beach and hammocks.

Teach, Learn, Share

If there is one thing I would like to share it is that traveling is not about where you go or what you do, it is about who you meet along the way which is why this website is so wonderful. Another thing I've learned it is that knowledge is power, the more you know the better off you are in every aspect of life. I would love to learn from this website first hand how similar, yet different people are around the world.
