Overview
About Me
I'm a positively thinking person, looking for my own path in life. Love traveling, music, meeting new, like-minded, life loving people who take responsibility for their own life and happiness. Adore people who are doing their own thing and loving it with every cell in their body. Prefer a company of good friends to big, noisy parties, also enjoy peace and quiet, and contemplation time. Love being in nature, especially in the mountains.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am somewhat a newbie in Couchsurfing world, but I figured, since, for the past 5 or so years, I have deliberately shied away from traveling in a touristy way, giving preference to and getting much more joy out of freestyle exploring and meeting local people anyway, I think CS is the next step and the right place for me.
Nothing can trump those live interactions and shared moments.
Interests
Humour, bringing joy to myself and others, consciousness, aliveness, music, djembe, traveling, folk dances, hiking, meditation, Qigong, playing button accordion (“garmoshka”) for fun, also some “kokle” (Latvian folk instrument), and bagpipes a little bit; veganism, raw foodism (slowly going in this direction), thoroughly enjoy spending time with "alive" people (read – joyous, happy, open minded, conscious, loving, caring etc.).

Music, Movies, and Books
Instrumental music, world music, jazz, in general, any music that puts a smile on my face, makes my soul soar and body move :)
Always happy to broaden my musical horizons, so quality music suggestions are always welcome.
Movies/TV series: mostly feel-good and/or thought provoking ones, like Alive inside, Human (found it to be a very powerful documentary), Intouchables, Rectify. Also like comedies and animation movies (Over the Hedge, Finding Nemo).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Off the top of my head, couple of months ago got stuck on the snowy Chopok mountain peak in Slovakia, met local alpinists and hiked down from 6640 ft back "on earth". Loved it, the views and the company was amazing! =)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Always love a good laugh. :-)
Could teach you some Russian, how to play "kokle" (if I have it with me), some Latvian/Lithanian/Estonian folk dances.
