ABOUT ME

Travelling in Australia at the moment.

Passionate about traveling, cooking and meeting people around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had tons of couchsurfing experiences throughout my travels, but none of them were arranged through CS until May 2014. My hosts were local people I met on buses, cafes, markets and in the street...the most unforgettable host was a masaai in Kenya in 2003, who took me to his little village in the middle of nowhere.

I hosted a Dutch cyclist who was traveling around the world for years with his guitar. It wasn't arranged through CS but through a mutual friend. I gathered my students for him to make a little concert and raised over 100 US dollars for him after only two songs!

Couchsurfing for me is about being inspired, making new friends and sharing different perspective on all subjects. It's a very important part of my journey which I'll write about in my book.

Interests

healthy, homemade international food, photography, film, art/design, architecture and music from all around the world.

My mother is a food critic so I have been raised with international gourmet food. I am a confident cook, used to teach international cooking classes and loved to cook for my friends at house parties.

I had 3 photo exhibitions in Japan, I love portraits and can share with you my proud collection of photos I took around the world.

My major in university was cinema studies...I don't have many movies on file, but can recommend lots of great films of any genre.

You are welcome to have my music collection from around the world!
