Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a big fan of making community and I think that couchsurfing creates an awesome opportunity to do that while on the road! The issue with travelling to me is that it is dependent on knowing people in order to make it great. And true, sometimes you meet people you didn't expect to and thats great, though if you don't know somebody and you want to have a sure fire friend, couchsurfing seems like a great place to do that.

I think I will be couchsurfing for a while before I get my own place, and I look forward to hosting couchsurfers at my house when I have a spot.

Interests

I like to be outside most of all. Rock climbing, gardening/farming, hiking, fishing, backpacking, canoeing, sipping drinks on a porch, wandering around towns and taking dogs on a walk! All that stuff and probably more.
Secondly, I'd say music and art. I really appreciate the aesthetics of places I go, and seeing bands play and art is an awesome way to get to know a city. Also, making music and art is awesome.
Third I might say food. I am a huge fan of food and spend way too much money on fresh, whole, local foods! I value tasty food made by hand and bought from folks who support organics and the people supplying the food. So good!
