Improve my strength and flexibility - without injuring myself. Get together a showreel and apply for gigs as a (semi-)pro aerialist!

ABOUT ME

I am a 2nd year PhD student (studying the geology of Mercury) and an amateur aerialist (mainly doing rope and hoop, but also a but of silks) - slowly trying to go semi-pro! I have been taking evening classes for 2 years and performed my first routine (on hoop) in Sept, and worked on my first paid gig with a costume designer in November/Dec. Keen to do more, it was a great experience. I also work on contortion (when I don't have a torn hamstring), ballet and contemporary dance and occasionally play with poi, unicycle, hula hoop - I have all of these in the house if you also like to play with these things - but I'm not terribly good yet!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to waste as little of my life being unhappy or stressed as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Started hosting last summer, had a fair few people stay with us. I've now moved out and my new place is too small to host so for now I'm just on as a (prospective) surfer :)

My fav bands are Nightwish, Within Temptation and Delain. But my taste in music is wide, and excludes only the really irritating rap stuff about bitches and drugs
