À propos de moi

The two of us traveled around the world together (From August 2022 - September 2023), doing volunteer works and cultural exchange activities (especially calligraphy) in various places.
We have experienced the following volunteer activities so far.
- Catering to the homeless
- Teaching Japanese
- Calligraphy workshop
- Cleaning up the streets/parks

After coming back to Japan, we built camper van to travel around Japan.

【Emi】
I’m a Japanese calligraphy instructor who conducts workshops and teaches Japanese culture to local people in various locations.
I am from Ehime, Japan and my hometown has famous hot springs (Dogo Onsen) and vast nature, which I love!
My hobbies are yoga and reading, walking!
I worked in advertising sales in Japan for four years. After that, I worked in sales in the New York City for 6 months, and then in Vietnam for 6 years working for one of the biggest Japanese banks.
I run online flower shops in Vietnam.
I'm a curious type of person, interested in many things.
I love animals, so in the future I would like to live slowly with animals in a place with nature.

【Genki】
My hobbies are listening to music (used to play the drums), watching movies/dramas, reading, and working out.
I am originally from Osaka, Japan but lived in various places such as Kyoto, Hyogo, and Tokyo in Japan, Hanoi (Vietnam), California (USA), and Utah (USA).
As a certified accountant, I worked in the field of audit, tax, M&A about 10 years.
I love meeting new people and challenge new things.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

We started Couchsurfing to meet more people for the following reasons;
-Our thoughts-
①I'd like to learn various knowledge and values.
I'd like to enrich my life by eliminating stereotypes and prejudices and by meeting people I would never have encountered if I had just lived in Japan.
To enrich my life by eliminating stereotypes and prejudices.

②I'd like to be involved with a variety of people.
To be involved in social issues and social good and "be useful to someone" (by volunteering in various places, to face social issues, to be useful to someone, and sometimes to be helped, and to live in a mutual supportive environment)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

【Genki】
I used to play the drums.
I love many kinds of music, Rock, Country, Jazz, Punk, Classic, and etc.
I have so many favorite movies.
Of the films I have seen recently, "Don't look up", "tick, tick, boom!" were very good.
Of the books I have read recently, "The Long Game" by Dorie clark, and "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel were very good.

【Emi】
I like Japanese pop music. (I like "Utada Hikaru" the best among them)
I love to read books, so it is difficult to decide my best, but my favorite author is Takafumi Horie's books. Many of them are business books.
Yusuke Yamada's novels are also very harrowing and interesting with unrealistic horror.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I went to Antigua, Guatemala to study Spanish,
I suddenly noticed a lot of homeless people.
There are no large volunteer organizations or non-profit organizations in Antigua, so we decided to prepare onigiri (rice balls) and sandwiches by ourselves and distribute them directly to the homeless people.
It was very difficult to prepare the food by ourselves in a foreign country,
but we were able to prepare more than 100 pieces of food and give all of them to the homeless people.
