About Me

Hello!
My name is Emi and I was born in Lima, Peru. After studying and working for a couple of years I quit my job on March 2018 to travel the world and explore different ways of living. I volunteered in different projects to keep learning and give back. Now I am back "home" but still have wandering feet haha.

I'm very curious and eager to learn a little bit about everything and experience as many things I can during this life. I want to observe and engage in different facets of human experience. I love spending time in nature, exploring new places and having meaningful conversations with people (maybe this last one is my favorite thing about traveling and the main reason why I am on CS).

I am very interested in other cultures, spirituality, psychology, yoga, philosophy, breathwork, meditation, art, gardening, and everything that contributes to my discovery of what it means to be human. Right now I am trying to learn more about sustainability and self-sufficient ways of living, I would love to engage in projects related to eco-community living and permaculture.

I am fascinated by psychology, especially transpersonal psychology. In the future, I'm looking forward to creating an educational project involving psychology and emotional intelligence.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe life is more beautiful when it is shared with others. I love meeting new people and live through their stories/experiences. You can learn so much from other people's experiences even if you just have a conversation for a few minutes.

I want to experience the world on my own and listen to these stories first hand. Couchsurfing allows me to connect with people from all over the world who understand the value of human connection.
