I am a 20-year-old student from Denmark, who are currently interrailing around Eastern-Europe. I graduated from High School one year ago and have been working as a teaching assistant in a school for children with special needs in my first gap-year. In my spare time I am the chairman of a local department of the social-liberal youth party Radikal Ungdom. Furthermore I love spending time with my friends, going to concerts or other cultural events.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always wanted to try couchsurfing but have never really gotten the opportunity to do it. I love the idea of free cultural exchange. In addition, I love meeting new people and discovering different cultures and languages. I have never been the person who only enjoyed TripAdvisor’s top 10 attraction on the contrary I love visiting small unknown sites of the cities I travel to. I big part of why I chose to couch surf is to get the locals insights and stories in order to expand my cultural horizon and knowledge.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to consider myself having a wide taste of music with indie pop and experimental Danish music as my favorite genres. Among many my favorite artist are: Bon Iver, James Blake, Nils Frahm, James Blake, Ayowa and The Minds of 99.

I’m not the biggest film guy but I love Tarantinos films.

I mostly read Danish authors so you may not know them but Theis Ørntofts “Solar” and Inger Christensen “Alfabet” are two of my favourite authors. Currently im reading some of Lev Tolstoys massive works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of years back I participated in an international football tournament in Guatemala, which is a unbelievable beautiful and unique country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope to go explore your city together (maybe go to a concert or an exhibition). I am always ready to share meals or/and drinks. I’m not the best chef myself but I am happy to help with the cooking.
