About Me

Hejsan! 🇸🇪

After travelling south east Asia for about 7 weeks, I am now back in Europe to spend the last two weeks of my travels adventuring with my girlfriend.

It was only very recently that caught the travel bug. I have some treasured memories from shorter trips with family and friends, but this summer I discovered the freedom you can only find with your feet on the road and your whole life stuffed in a backpack. I'm looking forward to using my newly earned knowledge and confidence to make the most out of these last few days. Before long I'll go back home to the grind.

Interests

How far can one shoot a potato gun?
Which musical instrument can make the most accurate animal impression?
Who created the most detailed bottle ship?

When I look at my YouTube watch history I realize that almost anything can be very fascinating. I think it depends mostly on the person showing it or talking about it. There are few things as interesting as learning about someones hobby or passion. So please show me yours, and I'll show you mine!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a great passion in my life. I've been playing the saxophone for 12 years now, which has led me to discover the beautiful world of jazz. I enjoy music from all genres though, from indiepop to progressive metal. I'm always looking for new music to discover, and perhaps I can show you some of my favourites from whatever genres you enjoy.

When I'm not listening to music there is probably an audiobook in my headphones. Lately I've been listening to either fantasy or popular science / philosophy on artificial intelligence and what it means to be human.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've played saxophone for the King of Sweden. Bam.

Teach, Learn, Share

For the last 6 months leading up to this summer I've worked as a 2nd grade teacher in Sweden. I love teaching! There is nothing more satisfying than explaining something that I like to someone who is willing to listen. Kids are amazing because they are generally more curious than adults. Sometimes they can be little shits but I love them anyway.

I believe everyone has a kid somewhere inside them, so if you show me your curiosity, perhaps I can teach you a thing or two.
