ABOUT ME

I'm curious and I like to learn. I really mean that! I'm a bit of a nomad, for better or worse it seems I can't be in one place for too long. By now I've come to accept this and try to make the best out of it by using this drive/unrest/obsession in a productive way to get some photography done.

I'm fascinated by human culture and cultural expressions, which is probably why I do art, though I also like photography and cameras and all of that. I can get way more complicated about my relationship to photography, but this is probably not the place. If we meet maybe I will! Apart from this I also like to read, to walk, to grow tomatoes, to pick mushrooms, to look at cities and people and their things. I like big cities and the forest. When it's overcast, I like the green of those pine look-a-like trees people have in their gardens. I love food, but I don't eat meat. I have several dimensions!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently not hosting, since I'm out travelling and my tent is for only one person.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some, which has been a very good experience. I've surfed with quite a few great people, and it's an unbeatable way to get an insight into things in the area, like how industrial tomato growing is done in southern Spain and that kind of stuff.

兴趣

Photography, language, music (I even once moved to Iceland, since I liked their music scene), movies (I like movies a lotm for example Almodovar, Woody Allen, French new wave etc.), food, art.

Movies: Three colours (especially "Blue"), Jaques Tati, Songs from the second floor, Atame (Bind me?, Almodóvar), Manhattan, Annie Hall, Dirty Dancing, Star Wars, Vertigo... this list could be made very long.

Music: Björk, Sigur Rós, Sally Shapiro and Italo disco in general, Whitest boy alive, Belle and Sebastian and classic heroes like Bowie, Patty Smith, the Cure and the Smiths will always do.

Books: Pan, Anna Karenina, Norwegian wood, the Master and Margarita, Blankets, Oxford Dictionary, Hey Princess.
