I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. I studied journalism for my bachelor's and recently started studying here in Helsinki! I pursuing a master's in media and global communication at the University of Helsinki.

My long term goal is to travel the world and work for National Geographic. I'm not sure how to get there but I'm figuring it out along the way. I am really into photography and writing. I am probably considered a bit nerdy.

I like to run but I also like to eat bread. I grew up dancing and I'm not very good at any sports. I like to think that I'm easy going and flexible.
I know that I am brand new to Couchsurfing and have not yet collected any references, but please don't hold that against me. Everyone starts somewhere!

I'm on Couchsurfing to make connections with people when I visit other countries. While having a hotel room may be more comfortable for some people I am looking to have a genuine experience with local people who know the cities I visit.

I have a very eclectic collection of books and music. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and some of my other favorite books include The Picture of Dorian Gray and Dune.

I'm not sure if it qualifies as amazing, but in the United States I was a national champion in Irish Dancing. I'm also SCUBA certified... but it's not doing me much good in Finland.

As a native English speaker and language enthusiast, I love encountering new languages and people. During my downtime, I would be more than happy to help with your English language skills (I'm certified, you can trust me).

As a traveler, I would love to learn about local culture, whether it's historical or more current. I want to absorb as much culture as I can to mold myself into a well-rounded individual. The world is always at our fingertips and I plan on taking advantage of everything that I can to truly feel like a player in the world arena.

I can share my love for travel and exploring the world. Positivity is something that I try to bring to every situation and share with others. While I may not have gifts and glory to give to hosts I think that I can be a gracious surfer and bring smiles.

I mostly eat a lot of bread, so I'm afraid I won't be much help if you're looking for someone to cook dank meals. However, as a photographer, I would be happy to exchange a photo session in exchange for your couch.
