About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A journey to discover how I can best contribute to the collective well being and lessen the suffering.
ABOUT ME
I have spent the past few years working in kitchens, honing my skills with the knife. I seek to expand my knowledge of food and culture by traveling, seeing those wonders for myself. Before my time working in kitchens, I was a traveler. My mother says I have gypsy blood. I have traveled the United States quite extensively and also parts of South America. Next on the horizon is the great unknown. I will go where the wind chooses to take me, meeting people and making connections along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I wish to touch the lives of people, even briefly. Delight in the mutual benefits of sharing experiences and passing on stories, skills and insights. Cooking and food is what I do, and am willing to collaborate or teach.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had many experiences while traveling of meeting people and being invited to stay in the home of a new found friend. I find that when you know people are going to be in your life for just a short time, those are the friendships that blossom the quickest. You take less for granted. I have used the website for its purpose in South America, and found these experiences fulfilling.
Interests
In my down time, I enjoy writing. I write about my perspective, poetry, and words I hope to be inspirational to others. I mentioned food and cooking before. I have gotten into fitness and nutrition in the past year, I would say I am just beginning that journey. Conversation is my fuel, I love to listen.
(I'm a sucker for a good meme)
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut, I would recommend for anyone to read Sirens of Titan. My favorite film is the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi being the one I like most. The music I listen to changes constantly, but I always enjoy the blues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling the United States extensively. I saw meadows, mountains and wilderness. For all the beauty I saw I experienced equal amounts of discomfort. Maybe I'll tell you the story sometime.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little or a lot about the following subjects:
Yoga, surfing, hiking, modern gastronomy, Greek mythology, natural beauty products, sneakers, minimalism, fashion, fitness/gym, veganism, blogging, aliens, and of course Star Wars.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have stories to tell, and can make a decent meal.
