ABOUT ME

Generic 'easy going', 'adventurous', 'open minded' or whatever other boring things you'll find anyone trying to make friends saying - you can decide for yourself what I am like and that is part of the fun! I like asking questions and i try to be kind and respectful to all animals and people (but not if they are fascists, racists, sexists, hunters, basically anybody who is a terrible person), everything else after that is always changing.

PHILOSOPHY

we try not to be part of this messed up system of oppression and consumerism and capitalism and hate but most of the time we all get caught up in it. So the best thing is to always be ready to learn and challenge yourself and open yourself up to everything instead of closing off out of fear, and spend time loving others, yourself and the world so that we can really change things. couchsurfing is a great example of breaking down the walls that are built around us! Direct action is ESSENTIAL but so is small action like telling your friend that something they said is sexist instead of just letting them carry on being an asshole. Thats important!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed a little bit around Europe but not for very long, I'd like to spend more time getting to know people and learning from their communities and projects

Interests

being a queer, vegan, feminist activist and trying to learn from everyone around me instead of just telling people what i think, playing music on objects that aren't meant to be instruments, spending time with the sea and the air, writing angry songs, exploring anything and everything, hitch hiking in torrential rain, reading cozy endless books, waking up in different places, and asking lots of questions :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Angry anarchist folk, fast hardcore punk, political hip-hop/rap, smooth jazz, dirty grunge, beautiful soft piano...lots of things but please, anything but chart music! If you play instruments it would be so wonderful to play together and create awesome, silly, powerful music

I love reading so much but I find it hard to concentrate on lots of information, so I like to read stories that I can follow and zines about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

there are lots of little amazing things instead of big out-of-this world amazing things, awe doesn't have to come from climbing a mountain or donating a kidney (although those are pretty great things to do)

Teach, Learn, Share

we're all teachers and we're all students, if we keep what we know to ourselves then the world would be such a sad boring place waahhh

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe I can host, but I live with my family so I will need time to ask them first. I can show people around Brighton or the countryside, we can have tea and talk together :)
