Overview
About Me
I’m sorry, I cannot host often and unfortunately can’t respond to all messages I receive. However, sometimes we do accept guests that are pet friendly, as we have a poodle puppy in the house now. 😊
About me: As you can see from my pictures, I’m a really active and adventurous person. I’m passionate about trying new things and figuring out what it is to live a purposeful life on this planet. I have moved 20 times in my life, so maybe that is why I can really feel at home no matter where I am.
I studied international education and development studies. I've done quite a bit of volunteering and also worked with people who have migrated to Finland. After graduating, I've been working as a public official in the immigration sector. I'm passionate about working towards an equitable society. I see myself as a very curious and emphatic person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Through this platform I've met people that I otherwise wouldn't. People that have fresh, original and intelligent ideas. I've learned sooo incredibly much from the fellow couchsurfers and even met friends for life.
Couchsurfing has helped me to explore two things I've lately spent some of my free time on.
First, through meeting a couple hosts that practice meditation, I also started to explore my brain and I'm eager to dig deeper. My current mission is to set my mind free from unnecessary crap.
Second, after my encounter with a guy from couchsurfing, I've also become more interested in the idea of resource based economy and living off the grid.
I want to continue my mission: spreading love, being kind and doing good to strangers. It’s sad how many are afraid of trusting another human. I want to do my best in reducing fear and building trust ❤️
Interests
About traveling in general: I like to travel for rather long periods of time. I prefer traveling somewhere, staying there for a while, learning the language, and integrating the best way to “travel”. I'm trying to be as friendly to the earth as possible and avoid flying. That's why I tend to avoid many short weekend getaways to the other side of Europe and instead fly only once, see more, and stay longer.
I'm very much into self development, spirituality, and meditation. Minimalism inspires me, and I’m practicing it in terms of eating, consuming, connecting, and thinking. Decluttering and focusing on what I already have has become a lifestyle for me. I also developed a habit of spending Sundays without a phone and would recommend that to anyone!
Volunteering has been a big part of my life previously. I've been volunteering for an organization that helps migrants figure out their educational path and supports them with becoming active citizens. Now that is on hold, but I hope to get back on it as soon as possible!
I'm usually down for any type of sports. Volleyball, tennis, snowboarding, hiking, and any type of water sport are my favorites, to name a few.

Music, Movies, and Books
All time favorite movie: Into the Wild, Brokeback Mountain
All time favorite artists: Behm, Tash Sultana, Sia…
TBH I’m not so into movies or music.
I’m interested in books about feminism and anti capitalism.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made many acquaintances by just making an eye contact with people on the streets and smiling at them. It’s the best hobby ever and so rewarding when after a while when bumping into each other we recognize one another 🥰
Spent Christmas and my birthday with two friends I got to know through couchsurfing
Did social media fasting for 8 months straight
Hitchhiked around Finland and Germany
Did an Overnight jungle trek in Cambodian wilderness
Cycled on my own through Germany and Denmark
I think my hobby, ice swimming is pretty awesome!!
