ABOUT ME

We're Emilia and Lilik! We're artists, travelers, students, husband and wife.. we love to cook, to laugh, to watch movies and go camping. We have a chihuahua named Jay Jay who we love. We met in Yogyakarta, Indonesia where Lilik was living and Emilia went to do research and study. We both worked with the artist collective, Taring Padi. We married four years later, and then moved back to the U.S., where we now live and are both going to school.

Emilia's passion is performance, puppetry, the cross between theater and the visual arts, video and animation.. She has lived in Taiwan, and most significantly Indonesia, where she resided for four years. She's currently going to graduate school for an MFA in Studio Art, focusing on melding the performance and visual arts together.

Lilik is an avid reader and visual artist. He knows everything about history. He has a great smile and laugh. And, he's a great cook (you can tell that Emilia is the one writing this). He loves to draw, to relax, to watch soccer on t.v., to read the Indonesian newspaper on the internet. He's smart, easy-going, and a wonderful person.

We love meeting new people and sharing stories and experiences. We like adventures, and to have a good time. We also appreciate relaxing, warm evenings of cooking and watching a movie. We're flexible, and open-minded.
