ABOUT ME

I'm a 30+ year old secondary school English and Swedish teacher, living with my Hungarian wife and our cat Nessu (10). We live in Hämeenlinna, a town of 70 000 inhabitants, one hour from Helsinki and one hour from Tampere. I love travelling, obviously, but my biggest passion is music (I'm a huge Madonna fan). As for travelling, I love England and Ireland, New York and Hawaii, Hungary and Sweden...and many, many other places!

As a person, I'm quite bubbly and light-hearted when you get to know me but also always the sensible one, quite deep as well, and not a party girl unless we're talking about a Madonna night somewhere. I'm impatient and need to be entertained by someone or something (a book, TV, a DVD, the internet, letters) all the time. I'm a good and loyal friend and very internationally oriented. I'm not a group person in that I can get quiet when there are lots of people around but am VERY good at one-on-one conversations. Just so you can prepare for what I might be like when you meet me.

At the moment, I'm excited at the prospect of meeting someone for coffee or drinks somewhere and showing them around in Hämeenlinna. I'm actually from Tampere, and happy to show anyone around there as well. Whatever you want to or need to do, I'll know how to do it :).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No proper CouchSurfing experiences yet - I've hosted a penpal of mine, though, and met up with another one for lunch :).

Interests

Music (singing, going to concerts and listening to it), travelling, penpalling, TV, films, literature, going to nice restaurants, spending time with my friends and my sister's twins, studying Hungarian.

There are many things that have meant the world to me, such as seeing Madonna live 13 times, meeting Rosanna Arquette and Stephen Bray in LA on my 28th birthday, visiting New York, LA, Hawaii...and touching Madonna’s hand!

I'm a teacher by profession so I prefer to just be a student and a regular person when I'm not at work :D.
