About Me

I don’t really believe in labels and at the same time, if there is a word that describes what you identify with and helps others see who you are, why not use it? And what’s great with labels is that it can be removed. So if you ever feel like a label is not accurate anymore, just take it out and replace it by another!

Above all, I am curious and open-minded. I am lively, cheerful. I am respectful. I am reliable and trustworthy. I am easy-going and mostly a good audience. I am a rather quiet person but don’t be mistaken, I also know to be loud ;-)
Also, as a guest, I am conscious of the fact that the host offers to share his/her private space. As such, tidy is another label that can be added to talk about me.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music genres are the genres that comfort me, like jazz or indie, the genres that make me vibrate, like electronic music, and the genres that make me want to move my body like disco or Motown. Some of my favorite artists are Adele, Chromeo, Grand Corps Malade, Julien Doré, The Lumineers, Radical Face.

When it comes to movies, one of my favorite genres is psychological thriller or in a looser definition, movies with an unexpected twist at the end and open ended movies. Good examples to me are Number 23 by Joel Schumacher (2007), Shutter Island by Martin Scorsese (2010) or Gone Girl by David Fincher (2014).
Drama, is another one of my favorite genres and L'auberge espagnole (The Spanish Appartment) by Cédric Klapisch (2002), Requiem for a Dream by Darren Aronofsky (2000) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky (2012) are some of the movies on my top list.

As to books, dystopias such as 1984 by George Orwell (1949) or Globalia by Jean-Christophe Rufin (2004) are my favorite. Other significant books that I've read are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (1988), The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (1890) and Réparer les vivants (Heal the Living) by Maylis de Kerangal (2014) .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Live.

Teach, Learn, Share

To me, learning is within anybody’s grasp. As long as you are curious and have this inside drive, learning is easy. On the contrary, teaching is a more arduous exercise. No matter how much inside drive you have to teach, if the learner shows any form of reluctance, then teaching becomes vain. That is why I truly believe that all we can do is share.

Share your opinions, share your feelings, share your values. And just hope that it will resonate with someone and maybe initiate reflection in someone.

Share a smile, share laughter, share love, share your love for life.
