To see the world!
ABOUT ME
I've wanted to travel for as long as I can remember and in 2014 I finally bit the bullet and flew to Thailand. I spent 5 months there, 3 of those months teaching English. I then travelled around SE Asia for 6 months before heading to Australia at the beginning of 2015. I fell in love with Melbourne and based myself there but went on a few holidays to Brisbane, Adelaide, Uluru, Perth and did a road trip up to Coral Bay in WA. I still have a lot more to explore and am looking forward to ticking off more places this year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is a fantastic way to travel cheaply and meet other like-minded people. Despite having had a profile for a while now, I haven't yet managed to take advantage of it, but I hope to be able to soon.
Interests
Currently my interests lie in meeting new people and going on adventures with them in unfamiliar cities; visiting places of interest and sampling the local food, or just chilling out over a drink or two.
When I am not travelling, I love Zumba, swimming and I love to dance when I get the opportunity. I have danced since the age of 3 and did competitions with the dance society when I was at university. I do jazz, tap, contemporary and street dance but love all kinds of dance. I also love music, playing the piano and violin, going to the theatre (mainly musicals!), curling up with a good book and going for meals with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love various kinds of music, one of my current favourites is Ed Sheeran.
I can't pick one favourite movie, but among my favorites are: Dirty Dancing (naturally!), Vanilla Sky, The Prestige and the Shawshank Redemption. I do like to indulge in the odd chick flick, but generally I like films that make you think, or take an unexpected twist.
As for books, I love to read and once again can't pick a favourite but some of my favourites are The Time Traveller's Wife, Rebecca, the Harry Potter Series, The Secret Keeper and The Kite Runner.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll never forget my first glimpse of the Grand Canyon. Our group was told to close our eyes and hold hands while the guide led us all from a small car park and lined us up along the edge of the canyon, then told us to open our eyes. Wow. Just breath taking.
