Discovering day-to-day life in Central Asia!

ABOUT ME

We are a French-German couple, who loves to travel and discover new cultures and landscapes.
Emilie, born and grew up in a small French city, and Ben, born and grew up in a small city in East Germany. We met in Montpellier, South of France, during our studies, and since this time we were pending between France and Germany. In 2006 we moved to Düsseldorf, Germany and have been living there till 2010.
We got married in summer 2010 and got a six months "honeymoon" in Africa from September 2010 to March 2011. After visiting West Africa and Mozambique, we spent 6 weeks volunteering in Malawi for a school project, afterwards we continued our trip up to Ethiopia.

We've already been traveling in 2005 in South America during 4 months, it was also a great experience!

We now live in Almaty, Kazakhstan where we both work.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have discovered the CS community during our six months trip to Africa, and we loved it! What a wonderful experience to meet all these interesting people, and what a great feeling to feel home for a few days. We are now proposing our couch in Almaty, happy to give back what we received in Africa.
