About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to be a good person and meet people, discovering cultures

ABOUT ME

I am very open-minded, social, spontaneous, adventurous, ... quite independant.

PHILOSOPHY

Living the present
Accept the things you cannot exchange, and change the things you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I intend to help people visiting Paris, showing them little and not well-known places, good restaurants, ... If I am available, I think I can be quite a good guide 'cause I know very well Paris' history and monuments.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosted by a very kind guy in Grenoble, France, before going on our trip to the Alps... It was short but nice !

Rajasthan by couchsurfing with Marielle (met on voyagesforum) : BEWARE GIRLS !! It's very difficult to travel as a woman in Raj. Fortunately, I was with Marielle and we met a French guy in Agra, Remi, who has shared our trip. You get insulted at least 3 times a week, Indian guys barely keep their promises whatever they are, but you can get good surprises also : We met a very European-minded guy in Ajmer who is just making the best for you, then a luxury hostel in Jodhpur with a very nice guy.
About our bad review : Our couchsurf in Jaipur was very bad : the most dirty bathroom you could ever imagine in your worse nightmares, didn't have the possibility to use their facilities to make hot water, making water boil was also difficult to ask... We have been treated differently from the Polish couple who was with us.
All the girls I have met have bad stories about Indian guys touching them during the night or stuff like that.

Couchsurfing in McLeodGanj at Scott Spinner's place : Amazing experience where I have met great people.

Interests

I did biology/ pharmacy studies 'cause that's my passion and I am still studying alternative medicines.

I am found of art and history, photography.

I love travelling, cooking, eat asiatic (thaï, japonese, ...) food, dancing tango or rock'n'roll, trekking/ walking in the mountains (The Alps !) in the summer. Love all the water sports : Canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed, snorkeling (cause I am so bad in scuba diving that they never gave me the Open Water or the french level 1)...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies : Old movies (Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Jean Gabin, ...) and new ones, except when there is too much science-fiction or special effects.
I love when there is a good scenario ; when the story is lacking, I do not even watch.

Music : I listen to everything but r'n'b, rap, bad house music, ...

Books : Good english and french literature when I have time, but I often read alternative medicines books right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Weelllll... walking in the Alps with bad shoes (blame my parents) for 3 days and after, having my toe nails collapse and "fall"
Being at the top of Stromboli (Sicilia) and see lava spurting out of the crater.
Eating food outside in the snow, -2 degrees celsius, in Iceland in July.
Taking a highway by scooter in ibiza (it is forbidden)

hitch-hiking in soooo baaaad conditions

observing seals in Iceland, and puffins !

Driving at 30 km an hour in Iceland for 3 hours (120 km), on a track forbidden for cars (and having a infringement), to see Hveravellir

Visit Rajasthan, being insulted and treated as an only-wallet-and-pussy person... And still meet amazing people.

Trekking 1-day with Matteo and Dominique in the sides of a waterfall in Himalaya has been quite big... Soaked to the bones, climbing wet rocks, holding grass and roots to stay alive... Guys you have been so supportive and great all day long ! Love you both.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give good advices about health, plants and products to use to protect it ; I will observe you and try to make a good diagnosis (either I don't know or I am right, one way or another).
I do that for my friends who ask for example. That takes time 'cause I ask lots of questions.
And I will use the experience you give me to help other people, later.
For example, I am currently helping a friend who is gluten intolerant, with other serious symptoms.

I can teach you how to cook a few stuff and pastry...

I would like to learn lots of stuff about foreign languages and share about cultures, history, where have you been, why and how did you organise it...

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
