About Me
Bio is a bit outdated, I’m currently working full time at Meta, have survived 2 rounds of layoffs and I’m planning on staying here for about 1 more year before I quit and start a business ✌️ hopefully see u soon!
— Bio of when I was touring around Europe —
What's uuuuup, my name is Emilio González. I recently finished my university studies in Mexico and will start working full-time in December 2021 at Facebook (Menlo Park, California). Before that I'll be traveling around Europe from the 20th of August until the 10th of November 🥳
I grew up in Monterrey, a somewhat big city located in north east Mexico (about 4 hours away from the Mexico-USA border) ever since I was an exchange student in Hungary (from 2014 to 2015) I’ve had a strong interest in exploring other cultures, people, ways of thinking etc.
Would love to meet up / crash at your place for a couple nights if possible 🙌 check out the "Teach, Learn, Share" section to see some of the things I'd love to share with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There was this one time I went to Dublin and I knew no one there so I figured couchsurfing would be a good place to get to know some people. Best decision ever, those couple days in Dublin will be forever in my memory ❤️

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I've got an interesting music taste, I don't have a favorite genre / artist and in my playlists you'll be able to find a very varied collection of music (bossa nova, rap, EDM, reggaeton, etc)
Movies: I enjoy a lot real-life based movies / documentaries / plays, some of my favs are Hamilton (play), ICARUS (documentary) and Theory of everything (movie)
Books: Used to be big on self-help books but lately I've found myself reading books about entrepreneurship / chess / skills. Currently reading: zero to one (entrepreneurship), fundamental chess openings (chess) and practical vim (skill)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was an intern at Google just like the movie
