About Me

Im primary looking for people who would like to hang out and maybe help me out in the garden but you can of course visit the city during the day as well. I hope that we can enjoy the evenings together. I might be hosting many people at once so expect a lively environment.

Depending on how many people are staying you might be sharing a room with more people and maybe be sleeping on a matress on the floor, or in tents. We will manage and have a great time.

Looking forward to meet you all B)

ABOUT ME

I am 2 meters tall and my feet are size 50 (15 US). That is the most scary about me. Beside that i am friendly cheerfull guy. I enjoy meeting new people and talking with people i dont know (yet).
I'm half danish and half german (from Freiburg). Grew up in Denmark bilingual.

I love sports and being around people. It rarely happens that i get enough of social life and need time for myself.

If i could choose my self how i'd like to spend my day, and always had nice people around, me who shared my interests, I think that I'd be playing basket, football, badminton and table tennis all day.

Openminded, fresh, affectionate and active.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When i used to host people i would turn my couch status on hosting for maybe two days. I would then accept as many requests as possible if they were not total wack and then i would change my couch status again. I know how hard it is to read through profiles and how little time you would like to spend on that while traveling.

Therefor a shout out to everybody. Make it easyer for all of us by:

-Changing your couchstatus when necessary

-Write in the top if there are days coming up where you can not host

-Focus on what you would like people to write about in their request and don't generalize about how people allways copy paste

-Spread love ( thanks for the great times. Looking forward to the next)

I've been hosting over 30 people now and i've been surfing about 20 couches and i still love it.
I've been surfing mostly in Denmark and Germany so far but i'm looking forward to surf the rest of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was on a bike tour in July 2013 through germany starting in Freiburg and ending in my hometown Copenhagen. It took me 2,5 weeks and and surfed 12 different couches on my way.

Week 7 of 2015 i hitchhiked to Freiburg over Hannover on the way there and over Hamburg on the way back.

Interests

Everything that moves catches my attention. I like doing sport and playing any kind of games: bord, ball and so on.
I've been playing around with some producing of electronic music. https://soundcloud.com/schiky-1
If you invite me over for a game of chess i'll never say no ;)
Dancing is another thing i love to do. Both salsa and swing dance and i'm always up for learning new.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've just been reading the two books from the swedish author Jonas Jonassson which i can recommend:

The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared
And
The Analphabet Who Knew How To Count

- especially the first one.

But to be honest: I'm no big reader. I prefer activities and chatting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once couldn't find a couch in a little town called Neustrelitz in the north of Germany. I was Biking through germany without a tent because i was couchsurfing and i just hoped that it would all work out.

I arrived in Neutrelitz at 10:30 pm after 10 hours of biking... quite tired...
There where many mosquitos in the warm evening air and i was all sweaty even though i had been out swimming in a little lake only 1 hour ago. It was juli. I really didn't feel like sleeping outside with the mosquitos so i started knocking on peoples doors hoping that they would let me sleep somewhere inside. After i had knocked on about 10 doors and about 10 dogs had barked at me i decided to give up and find cosy spot somwhere on an open field to sleep. I tried to hide myself underneath my sleeping back but i started sweating like hell bacause it was still 25 degrees celcius outside. I knew i had another 100 kilometers in front of me the next day so a good nights sleep was very important. That was the reason why i once more got up trying to find a compassionate person who would offer me a bed for the night.
Luckily i met an old lady who was on her way to the barn to get her chickens inside and as she saw me there flicking away mosquitos from my face she let me sleep in her guestroom.
The next day i were eating breakfast together with her husbond and...... we all lived happily ever after.

Teach, Learn, Share

I use the music producer program FL Studio which i can teach you the basics of.
I also like to play the drums and i can teach you chess.
If you have a bike that needs to be fixed that shouldn't be a problem neither.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you:
how to dance,
how to play chess,
how to fix a bike,
how to produce music in FL Studio,
Math,
Danish,
Magic ;) (ok that sounds a bit cheap)
